Would you be able to intervene if someone around you needed first aid ????? The participants of our „Be prepared: First Aid Training“ project already know how to react in such a situation. ????????\u200d\u2640\ufe0f????\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/span>
\nThe goal of the project that took place in Ko\u0161ice???????? was to increase the competence of youth workers in the field of first aid\u26d1. The participants gained theoretical knowledge but also practical skills in providing first aid using the correct technique, they learned how to assess the situation and ensure vital functions until the arrival of professional emergency medical services???? in sudden unexpected situations in which the health or life of any of us may be at risk.\u00a0<\/span>
\nFirst aid training was carried out in the spirit of the motto<\/span>
\n????“the only bad first aid is none“????.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be prepared: First Aid Training<\/strong>\u00a0course gave 28 youth leaders and youth workers the opportunity to improve and gain practical knowledge in one of the most important areas of youth work \u2013 safety and first aid. This knowledge is necessary in everyday work, when small injuries or even more serious accidents can happen at any time. In addition, hundreds of mobility projects are carried out\u00a0each year \u2013 youth exchanges or trainings, involving thousands of young people and youth workers, during which various dangerous and risky situations may arise where knowledge of first aid is essential.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim<\/strong>\u00a0of the project was to increase the competences of 28 youth leaders and youth workers in the field of first aid.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants got:<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2013 theoretical knowledge and practical skills in providing first aid using the right techniques, being able to assess the situation and ensure vital functions until the arrival of a professional emergency medical service in sudden unexpected situations in which the health or life of any of us may be endangered;<\/span>
\n\u2013 knowledge to justify the importance of providing first aid in the emergency care system in the event of sudden lifethreatening\u00a0and health-threatening events;<\/span>
\n\u2013 the acquisition of practicable knowledge and skills in dealing with sudden life and serious health-threatening events of an accidental and \/or non-accidental nature;<\/span>
\n\u2013 a positive attitude towards providing first aid and preventing sudden threats to life and health. We want to get rid of any uncertainty in the spirit of the motto \u201cthe only bad first aid is none\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants were from Bulgaria<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\"Bulgaria\",\u00a0Cyprus<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\"Cyprus\", Austria, Greece \"Greece\", Italy \"Italy\", Spain, Romania \"Romania\", Germany \"Germany\" and Slovakia \"Slovakia\".\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
